The Pinehurst Club brings together corporate sponsors, business leaders, donors, students, volunteers and special guests to help raise funds to assist in covering the administrative costs for Sleeping Children Around the World, which allows 100% of all bedkit donations to positively impact children in developing countries.
Join us on Friday May 8th for the Pinehurst Club breakfast at the Fairmont Royal York. We are happy to report that “One Clap” Neil Aitchison will be returning for his 15th year as our Master of Ceremonies, helping to keep the program moving while entertaining the guests.
Our keynote speaker is David Connolly, the Artistic Director of Drayton Entertainment, one of Canada’s leading not-for-profit theatre companies, and a passionate advocate for disability inclusion. In 2024, he received the inaugural Canadian Actors’ Equity Change Maker Award and is proud to be the first amputee to have performed on Broadway.
Our Volunteer Speaker is Teegan Nordstrom who became involved with Sleeping Children Around the World as our very first Student Grant recipient. Through this initiative, she travelled to Tanzania, where she supported a bedkit distribution and developed a framework for measuring the program’s impact in greater depth.
