SCAW BLOG: TANZANIA, 2026: August 3
It’s Sunday in Dar es Salaam and we are off to Mama Wandoa’s farm, south of the city. There she built a church for the community. We arrived to the sound of joyful singing by a visiting choir. It was an uplifting start to the day.
We had a walk around to see the chickens and vegetation, including mango trees, then Mama gave us a taste of mango juice. Delicious!
Later in the day we checked out the bedkits and got ourselves organized for our first day of distributions. We are excited to meet the children and wish them “la la salama” (sleep well).
These three photos were from the previous day.
