Sleeping Children Around the World, a 100% charity, held its third annual Sleep Day on Friday November 23, 2018. Canadians across the country can participate by going to school and work in their pyjamas, having fun and raising awareness of Sleeping Children Around the World. We encourage you to create a fun Sleep Day event at your school or work, knowing that each person’s $2 (student) or $5 (corporate) donation will provide hope and joy to a child living in poverty.
100% of all donations go to improving the lives of countless children in developing countries with the aid of a much needed bedkit. To support a country's local economy, bedkits are created in the country of distribution, and include important items integral to a child's growth: a mattress and bedding, mosquito nets, and a backpack with school supplies. Visit the Bedkits page to learn more.
The Sleep Day Educational Resource (.pdf) and downloadable resources on our Pinterest page are available to help with your planning. Your participation is a simple yet impactful way to give children who are less fortunate a chance to thrive in challenging conditions.
Sleep Day 2018 was generously supported by Choice Hotels Canada and Sleep Country Canada.
