Excess (Shortfall) of Donations over Bedkits Funded
($67,965) ($260,570)

Population figures, and Gross National (GN) Income per Person figures are for the year 2010, and were taken from World Bank data.

Any Excess of Donations over Bedkits Funded is carried forward to future years to buy bedkits. Shortfalls of Donations to Bedkits Funded in 2010 and 2009 were covered by large estate donations received in prior years.

Funding was increased from CDN $30.00 to $35.00 per bedkit, effective with distributions funded after June 1, 2008.

Operating Expenses of $131,544 for the year ended February 28, 2011 ($96,363 for 2010) were covered by the Sleeping Children Around The World Legacy Account set up by Murray Dryden. Our financial structure ensures that 100% of bedkit donations are used only to buy bedkits.

All Canadian registered charities are required to submit each year an Annual Information Return to the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA).
